2023 Water Week Workshop #3 - Root Cause Analysis - W&WW Facilities "What Truly Caused the Problem"

CEUs

0.3 CEUs

Description

Root Cause Analysis is often used in Occupational Health and Safety as a lesson learned tool to improve processes and overall approach to hazard control.

The process can also be used to analyze issues that may have occurred in while operating a Water and Wastewater Facility. Examples of such events could be a process upset, unintentional spill or an unreported violation.

Using Root Cause Analysis, the Operations Team can truly understand why things occurred and make changes to processes to avoid them in the future.

Attendees will also be introduced to the Root Cause Analysis and processes, interact with some live examples and walk through a Root Cause Analysis of an actual event.

Presenter(s): Grant Dixon, Owen James and Sutha Suthaker, Associated Engineering
