Description
This two-day course was developed to train water and wastewater operators on the hydraulics that an operator should be familiar with to understand if his/her system is working properly. An understanding of pump hydraulics gives the operator an insight as to why a particular pump performs as it does, gives the operator tools for solving pump problems in the field and allows operators to improve their communications with pump repair personnel and with design engineers.
The course would benefit any operators looking to write level 1, 2, 3 or 4 certification in any discipline as well as general knowledge for the operator involved in the day-to-day operation of their systems. Math calculations will be required; completion of the Support Systems and Applied Math Course would be beneficial but not a prerequisite.
