Description

This home study course covers in detail the theory and practical operation of pumps. It is intended to increase the operator’s knowledge of pumps and their maintenance and repair.

The CEUs from this course can be used toward the following discipline(s) for certification renewal:

• Water treatment
• Water distribution
• Wastewater treatment
• Wastewater collection

Prerequisites

This course is available through correspondence only

Course Completion Exam:
At the end of the course a completion exam will be given (proctor required). It consists of 30 questions with a mix of written and multiple choice. An overall minimum of 70% is needed to achieve a passing grade. If unsuccessful, one rewrite will be allowed.

NOTE: Graduates of the NAIT Water & Wastewater Technician Program are eligible to apply these CEUs for certification renewal ONLY. Please be aware of the CEU implications when registering for this course. Contact Alberta Environment for information.

COURSE MATERIALS:
Materials for this course will be mailed out upon registration with an email confirmation. It consists of a participant manual and workbook (combined) with unit review lessons. An Instructor's Guide and USB with videos are included for this self-guided course (must be returned).

COURSE COMPLETION TIME:
Registrants have a maximum of one year from receipt of the material to complete this course.
